ROSC of Galveston County

“People Who Help People”

The Recovery Oriented Systems of Care is a Texas Rehabilitation Initiative established in 2010 by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

The Galveston County ROSC is one of many in Texas. In the last few years, since the pandemic, it has grown exponentially greater than it could have ever imagined…

All are welcome

RECOVERY-ORIENTED SYSTEMS of CARE

Galveston County and Surrounding areas…

REGION 6 is made up of 13 counties

This meeting will have a different format than others as ROSC presents a Sober and Safe Living Experience to the Community Table…. See you there!
  • Implementing a Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC) framework across areas and our region while ensuring that communities and systems deliver high-quality, evidence supported services based on a recovery-orientation.
  • The state’s opioid crisis, has proven that recovery-oriented responses are more effective than traditional crisis-management approaches.
  • We are moving fast, away from just stabilizing people and helping them initiate their recovery process.
  • Recovery-oriented and Recovery Management approaches, in contrast, expand attention to include prevention and early intervention.

It just keeps getting better….

We have so much to cover in a short time, which is exactly why we are also using the Signal App to keep sharing information between monthly meetings.

The Galveston Recovery Community is about to have an event that will once again put it on the map!

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Join us and experience the power of unity.

The “Big Texas Recovery Rally” is coming soon to Galveston County and surrounding areas, and our neighboring counties are invited to celebrate Recovery Month with us in September.

The first annual Galveston County Recovery Rally in 2023, which was marked as #GCRR2023, was a massive success.

We are thrilled to announce that in 2024, the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) in Galveston County will be an official affiliate of the Big Texas Recovery Rally.

This recognition is provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and it means that Galveston County will be one of the top destinations for people who want to attend a Big Texas Recovery Rally in 2024.

“This rally provides an opportunity for recovery communities from all over Texas to unite and pay tribute to those who have successfully battled through mental health disorders and substance use disorders.

These individuals have regained their lives and once again become productive members of society.”

We are celebrating UNITY IN COMMUNITY! This event will bring together people who have chosen to live purpose-driven lives and have received treatment and services to support their journey towards long-term recovery.

We believe that recovery is possible, and this is why our theme for the 2024 Recovery Month celebration is focused on this message.

The theme of the upcoming 2024 Big Texas Recovery Rally is “Celebrating Harmony and Compassion”.

The main goal is to highlight a community that shares a passion for promoting good health and increasing the well-being of our vulnerable citizens.

With the alarming increase in drug overdoses across the country, it is more important than ever to celebrate those who have chosen to receive help and live a safe and sober lifestyle.

Those affected by substance use disorder are battling one of the deadliest diseases known and also considered an epidemic, formerly known as addiction. To be free from its clenches is a cause for celebration.

Join the Big Texas Recovery Rally in 2024 and experience the power of a compassionate community that prioritizes wellness. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of this healing event.
